Blk Orchid drops ‘Maneater’

Canadian recording artiste and producer Blk Orchid recently released the single Maneater, which is a soulful tale that she performed, wrote and produced.

The reggae-fused record is the first single from her forthcoming album, Lovers Groove, which is set for release this summer.

"I am thrilled at the excitement and positive feedback received about my new single. Maneater embodies a new sound I have been experimenting with that combines all my love for different genres of music; let's call it neo dub," said Blk Orchid. The visuals for Maneater were released the same day, and were directed and shot by Mettel Studios.

Blk Orchid has been consistently booked across Toronto since the beginning of this year.

Her previous release, Single Girl Blues, has accumulated more than 25,000 streams. The artiste has produced alongside Sly and Robbie and has worked with legendary artistes such as Red Rat.

She is also the founder of That's a Dope Sample, an initiative she put together to educate followers about the various aspects of sampling.
